“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter 1:4. God delights in people who have Christ formed within which is our hope of glory. He wants you to be fully devoted to following what Christ would have you to do. A true Christian will love truth, purity, holiness, love for the word of God, and will seek communion with others who know Christ. He encourages us to seek after every ray of light that God has made known to us in His word. God wants you to delight to conform every power of the soul to obedience to Christ. We become partakers of the divine nature through the Holy Spirit dwelling in us and changing our nature. We can not change our own nature but we are to choose to move in the direction of Christ and our human effort through faith combines with God's grace to produce a change in us. Set our eyes on heaven and things above. Let us not loose sight of our true goal.
