- 1 15-ounce can garbanzos, drained (save juice)
- 2/3 cup garbanzo juice
- 1/3 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 2/3 cup black olives, chopped
Blend all ingredients except olives and peanut butter. Add olives and peanut butter and mix well. Scoop into bowl. Makes 1 1/2 cups spread. Delicious topped with sprouts and sweet onion on crackers, or used as sandwich filling.
