Peananzo Spread


  • 1 15-ounce can garbanzos, drained (save juice)
  • ⅔ cup garbanzo juice
  • ⅓ cup peanut butter
  • ¼ teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 ½ tablespoons tomato paste
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ⅔ cup black olives, chopped


Blend all ingredients except olives and peanut butter. Add olives and peanut butter and mix well. Scoop into bowl. Makes 1 ½ cups spread. Delicious topped with sprouts and sweet onion on crackers, or used as sandwich filling.
